Updating

Zide can check for updates automatically or manually.

Check for updates

By default, Zide checks for updates after launch. A notification appears if a new version of Zide is available to download. The following example notifies you that Zide version 1.0.1 is available.

Update available: v1.0.1
Install Now

If you’re already on the latest version, no notification is shown.

To manually check for an update, click Help > Check for Updates. Zide will notify you if an update is available or that your version of Zide is up to date.

Install an update

To install an update, complete the following steps.

  1. Click Install Now on the update notification.
  2. In the Install Update dialog, click Install & Restart.

Zide automatically downloads the update, installs the update, and relaunches. Updating Zide preserves all local preferences, agent profiles, and active Git authentications.

Version information

To check the installed version of Zide, click Help > About Zide. Version strings include a channel suffix for pre-release builds.
