Licensing
With the permanent Free plan of Zide, you can open up to 3 project tabs that are local folders, worktrees, or public repositories. You can upgrade to Zide Solo, Zide Standard, Zide Pro, or Zide Max for private repositories, unlimited tabs, larger credit allowances, and more capable models.
Registered Free users currently receive a promotional allowance of 25 AI credits per month for Zide Assist on the Zide Economy model. This allowance may change or end. It does not include other AI models, use of your own API keys, or the ability to purchase additional credit packs. The Free plan itself does not expire and does not automatically convert to a paid subscription.

On the Free tier, opening a private repository or a fourth tab opens an upgrade card instead.
Purchase a license
To purchase a Zide Solo, Zide Standard, Zide Pro, or Zide Max subscription from a signed-out or Free account, complete the following steps.
- Click Account > Subscribe….
- Select a tier and click Subscribe. A Polar window opens in your browser.
- Complete the purchase in the Polar checkout using the email you want to use with Zide.
If you already have an active paid subscription, click Account > Compare Plans… instead. If you have a perpetual license without an active subscription, click Account > Resubscribe….
Sign in to your account
To sign in to your Zide account, complete the following steps.
- Click Account > Sign In….
- In the Subscription email or license key field, enter your subscription email or your license key. Your license key is in your receipt email from Polar, Zide’s billing partner.
- If you entered an email address, click Send Code. Enter the 6-digit code from the email and click Verify.
- If you entered a license key, click Activate Key.
After a successful sign-in, the dialog closes and a Signed in notification appears. You can continue where you left off. To review your account details, click your plan badge in the footer to open Account Status.

Perpetual license
After you subscribe to Zide for 12 continuous months, a perpetual license lets you keep the qualifying version and its paid desktop features, including private repositories and unlimited project tabs, even if you cancel later. Zide Assist, AI generation, managed and custom model connections, credits, and updates require an active subscription.
