Dashboard tabs
Dashboard tabs combine multiple content tabs into a single tab. For example, you can view an issue and its related PR side by side within one dashboard tab.
How dashboard tabs work
Dashboard tabs open as an individual content tab in the tab bar. A dashboard tab has a separate pane management system with dashboard panes that can contain content tabs. Content tabs in a dashboard tab function as normal.
Create a dashboard tab
To create a dashboard tab, right-click a content tab and click either Convert to Dashboard — Split Right or Convert to Dashboard — Split Down. A dashboard tab is created with the content tab and an empty pane.
To create a new pane in the dashboard tab, click either the Split Right icon or Split Down icon in the dashboard pane header.
Add and remove content tabs
To add a content tab to a dashboard tab, drag the content tab into an empty dashboard pane.
You can remove a content tab from a dashboard tab in the following ways.
- Click the Pop out to tab bar icon in the pane header to move the content tab from the dashboard tab to the tab bar.
- Click the Collapse Dashboard Pane (pop out tab first) icon in the pane header to move the content tab to the tab bar and delete the dashboard pane.
Close a dashboard tab
To close a dashboard tab, click the Close Dashboard (restore tabs) button. When you close a dashboard tab, all content tabs are placed in the tab bar.
