Connect a CLI agent
You can connect a Command Line Interface (CLI) agent to Zide to launch interactive sessions with repository context directly from the app.
CLI agent profiles are either auto-detected by Zide or added manually.
Auto-detect a CLI agent
To add a CLI agent profile to Zide automatically, complete the following steps.
- Click Tools > Chat With CLI Agent > CLI Agent Profiles.
- In the CLI Agent Profiles dialog, click Auto-detect. If a CLI agent is not detected, ensure that your CLI agent is configured and active on your local machine.
- Click Done.
Manually add a CLI agent
To add a CLI agent profile to Zide manually, complete the following steps.
- Click Tools > Chat With CLI Agent > CLI Agent Profiles.
- In the CLI Agent Profiles dialog, click Add profile.
- In the New CLI Agent Profile dialog, enter the name of the CLI agent profile in the Name field.
- In the Command field, enter the path or command name for the CLI agent.
- In the Arguments field, enter any arguments for the CLI agent.
- Click Save, then click Done.

Edit a CLI agent
To edit a CLI agent profile, click Tools > Chat With CLI Agent > CLI Agent Profiles. In the CLI Agent Profiles dialog, click the Edit profile icon next to the profile you want to edit.
