What is Zide?

Zide is a desktop app for managing Git repositories, tracking work on GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, and working with AI assistants, all in one window. Zide runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

What’s in Zide

Zide combines three sets of tools that developers normally use separately.

  • Git: Stage and commit changes, manage branches and worktrees, view history, and work with stashes, tags, submodules, and Git LFS. Use Interactive Rebase to arrange commits, Bisect to find a bug’s first commit, and signing to sign your commits and tags.
  • DevOps: Work with each provider’s supported features. GitHub has issues, pull requests, Actions, and releases. GitLab has issues, merge requests, pipelines, and releases. Bitbucket has pull requests, pipelines, and downloads.
  • AI: Chat with Zide Assist, the built-in AI agent, or connect your own CLI agent. Run prompts, save reusable commands, and start AI sessions in isolated worktrees. Session List searches saved and open Zide Assist sessions and shows how sessions branch from one another. Universal Finder searches across open projects.

Who Zide is for

Zide is built for developers who want to keep their Git tools, project workflows, and AI assistant in one place instead of switching between a Git GUI, a browser, and a separate AI tool.
