Session Watch

You can use the Session Watch dialog to view every Zide Assist, CLI agent, or terminal session running across all open projects.

To open the Session Watch dialog, click the Session Watch icon in the footer.

The Session Watch dialog displays each Zide Assist, CLI agent, or terminal session in a separate tile. Tiles are sorted chronologically by the latest activity. Each tile lists which project the session is in, the status of the session, the last message the user sent, and a timestamp of the latest activity.

Click a tile to open the session tab in the project containing the session.

Each session tile displays one of the following statuses.

  • Waiting for you: The session is blocked on a tool approval or is paused and needs your input. The session tile turns amber when Zide Assist is waiting for your input.
  • Zide replied: Zide Assist replied to your latest message. The session tile turns green if you have yet to view the Zide Assist message. The session tile turns gray if you have seen the Zide Assist message.
  • Working: The session is still processing your message. There is nothing for you to do yet.
  • Saved session: A completed session that has been untouched for a while, or a session that was restored from your last launch and has not been opened yet.

Find and filter sessions

Click the Show filters icon, or press Ctrl+F. To find an open session, type in the Find session field. Session Watch shows only the tiles whose session title or project name contains your text. Letter case does not matter. To choose which session types to show, select them in Show. Keep at least one type selected.

  • In the Find session field, press Enter to open the first matching session. Press Down Arrow to move to the first tile.
  • Clear the field to show all tiles for the selected session types. The tiles return to their earlier positions.

When a filter is set, a line above the tiles shows the number of sessions and names each filter. Click a name to change it. Clear filters clears the field and sets Show back to Zide Assist and CLI Agent.

Session Watch remembers your Show selection. The Find session field is empty each time you open Session Watch.

To search the text of your Zide Assist sessions, use Session List or Universal Finder.

The session watch icon changes to the following colors based on activity happening in your Zide Assist sessions, no matter which project you are currently viewing.

  • Amber: There is an action you need to take in a Zide Assist session. If any session is waiting for your input, the button stays amber.
  • Green: There is an unread message in a Zide Assist session.
  • Gray: There is no new activity in any Zide Assist session.

Relay

The Relay feature allows you to view and interact with your Zide Assist session from a mobile web browser.

To enable the Relay feature, complete the following steps.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. In Settings, click Zide Assist > Relay.
  3. In Relay, select Enable Relay.
  4. Optional: Select Allow remote interaction to send messages and approve tool calls to the Zide Assist session from the web browser.
  5. Optional: Select Keep computer awake while Relay is enabled to keep your computer awake.

To pair the Relay website to Zide on your desktop, complete the following steps.

  1. In relay.zide.dev, select to observe or interact with Zide on your browser. Then click Pair.
  2. In Zide, click Approve observe or Approve interact in the Pair a phone with this device dialog.
  3. Copy the pairing code from Zide and paste it in the Relay site. Then click Pair.
