Issue report

You can view summaries of your GitLab issues with customizable report templates.

To open GitLab issue reports, click DevOps > Issue Report. The tab opens on the Report Gallery. If an Issue Report tab for the same remote is already open, Zide shows that tab and returns it to the Report Gallery. The filter does not change.

You can also click DevOps > Issues, click More actions for issues, and click Open as Issue Report. This tab starts on the List report.

In a project with more than one remote, each remote has its own Issue Report tab. To open the report for one remote, click DevOps, point to the remote under Sources, and click Issue Report.

The header uses the same layout as the Issues activity, with the source, New Issue, and More actions above the filter controls. While a report is open, a breadcrumb banner above the filter controls shows Report Gallery followed by the current report name, for example Report Gallery > Roadmap.

The Report Gallery presents every available report as a card with a miniature preview, the report’s name, and a short description of what it shows.

GitLab issue reports are grouped into Layouts, Milestone, Date, Assignment, and Overview. Dependency reports are not listed because the GitLab issue provider does not supply the required dependency relationships.

  • Click a card to switch the tab to that report.
  • Move between cards with the arrow keys, and press Enter or Space to open the focused report.
  • Reports the provider does not support are not listed.
  • If a report is temporarily unavailable, its card remains visible and shows the reason. The gallery itself remains available because it describes reports rather than summarizing data.

Click Change Report on the right of the banner or Report Gallery in the breadcrumb to select another report. The tab returns to the gallery and keeps its filter. On the selection screen, the banner shows only Report Gallery and the filter controls are hidden. Selecting a report restores the filter controls and adds the report name to the breadcrumb, which remains visible when results are loading, empty, or unavailable.

What report cards show

The Cards and Board reports show the first assignee’s avatar and name. If an issue has more assignees, a +N count follows. The name matters because an avatar without an image falls back to an unexplained initial.

The Roadmap report groups issues by milestone. Each group header shows N of M complete and a progress bar. Open issues come first. Closed issues follow under Completed (N).

Filter issues

A new tab from DevOps > Issue Report shows open issues. A reused tab keeps its filter, and Open as Issue Report keeps the filter of the Issues activity. Use the filter selector to choose a filter. Click Show or hide filters to open or close the filter panel. You can filter issues with multiple filters at a time, and some filters can have several values; see Several values and exclusions. If the filter has a condition that Zide does not support for GitLab issues, the report shows a notice instead of issues. See Unsupported filters.

Saved filters

The filter selector works as in the Issues activity and uses the same saved filters. Choosing a filter does not change the open report. See Saved filters.
